Swedish heavy rock act We Are The Catalyst have released a charity single as part of a new fundraising campaign for The Fostering Network, the UK’s leading fostering charity. The band’s version of the Swedish House Mafia smash hit ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ will raise funds through Rock For The Children and has been backed by various international celebrities and musicians, from Jerry Springer to Adam Perry of the Bloodhound Gang.
The video for the single takes a stark look at the reality of growing up in a broken home, something which Tony Round, Head Of Fundraising for The Fostering Network, describes as a common experience for the young people he meets on a daily basis. “The children who come into care have all too often experienced neglect and abuse,” he explains. “The Fostering Network has worked hard … to ensure that these children can experience love, support and stability … We are delighted to have been chosen as the charity receiving funds”.
Since forming in 2012, We Are The Catalyst have established a strong reputation on the live circuit for their hard-hitting, emotion-heavy rock. Clearly committed to initiating social change through their music, the band commented: “The message is a hopeful one - a reminder that we should do our best to always care for our most vulnerable”.
