tomás donckerBlues and ‘No Wave’ legend Tomás Doncker will celebrate his acclaimed Big Apple Blues record this month by helping to launch the first-ever South by South Orange Festival

New York artist Tomás Doncker has been widely praised for his ‘global soul’ music, earning acclaim from CNN, Guitar World and the website of blues legend Howlin’ Wolf. To celebrate the ongoing success of his 2014 release Big Apple Blues, Doncker will be performing the album in full at the inaugural South by South Orange Festival (SOxSO) during the weekend of June 26-28.

The concert at SOxSO is curated by Mike Griot (bassist and CEO of PWI Media Entertainment) and will feature a host of popular names including Will Calhoun (drummer for Living Colour), True Groove all-star Josh David (of Wailers fame) and the critically-acclaimed violinist Alan Grubner.

This represents a unique opportunity to see Big Apple Blues - a collaborative effort between Doncker and the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa - performed in its entirety. See the links below for further information.
