Hey Guys – My name is Kerry- aka Kpax313 - from Los Angeles. I’ve been a musician nearly my entire life (since age 11) and I cannot imagine living a life not knowing how to play a musical instrument – or not having the ability to appreciate music. As Nietzsche said: “Without music, life would be a mistake”

I play guitar (self-taught after learning brass instruments and music theory) and keyboards as well – also self- taught. Well . . . I did take a few piano lessons once.

My early recording days were spent on an old Tascam 4-track tape system – so I was blown away when I picked up my first copy of Pro Tools 5.0. However, about five years ago I got a copy of Propellerhead’s Reason 4.0 and made the switch to electronic music – and I’ve been using Reason since then (with Pro Tools – until last year).

My guitar influences were Joe Satriani, Pat Metheny, Eric Johnson, Frank Zappa – and many others.

Artists that have influenced my electronic music include Vangelis, Depeche Mode, Portishead, Brian Eno – and more recently, Wolfgang Gartner, Adam Freeland, Luke Porter, Vibrasphere.

My music changes with each new project and I experiment with many genres, but most of my tracks have some live guitar – even if it is just a small fill.

I am very excited to be a part of this Weekly Podcast project and I have really enjoyed being a track selector for the podcasts and meeting the amazing artists in this incredible community!
